Some places stay with us- an unforgettable vacation experience, a family home or cabin, the ocean or lake view, a garden, or simply an important life chapter. Transform your favorite memories into a custom oil or acrylic painting tailored perfectly for your space.
Art created with the space in mind– With more than thirty years of experience managing Hospitality Interior Design, I understand that selecting art is about more than finding a beautiful piece - it's about finding the right piece for the space. My background allows me to approach each painting with an understanding of scale, proportion, color, lighting, sightlines and the overall design intent. I enjoy collaborating with the Homeowner, Interior Designer, or Architect in residential, hospitality or commercial applications to support the vision by providing art that brings visual cohesion to the space and supports the surrounding finishes.
Collaborative Process– My style is very diverse which makes for a variety of pieces that can be purchased for one project. I appreciate the fine detail needed to convey a Collector's or Interior Designer Client's vision. I also appreciate designing large-scale statement pieces that unify design elements and add depth, statement pieces that evoke emotion and tell a story while anchoring the space. By blending the fluidity of oil painting with the immediacy of acrylic, I create a narrative that is both grounded and ethereal.
I look forward to collaborating with you on your painting offering thoughtful design suggestions. I appreciate efficient communication and pay careful attention to ensure your art meets the agreed budget, schedule and installation date.
If you have been considering a commissioned piece for your personal space or a client, below are the steps to collaborate on your art piece.
Phase 1: Concept
Everything starts with an in-depth consultation to align with your vision. We will discuss the desired mood, color palette, scale and intent. You share any specific dimensions, finishes and reference photos.
Phase 2: Discovery
To be sure we are perfectly aligned, I will develop preliminary digital concept images exploring different compositions and color ranges. This helps to determine if scale, color palette and design intent is approved. This visualization ensures the final direction is established with clarity and minimal revisions.
Phase 3: Creation
Once the direction is approved, we finalize the commission agreement, and a 50% deposit secures your place on the studio calendar. We will also agree to the schedule of delivery which will have a few touch points for me to show you progress updates.
Phase 4: Curation
Upon completion, you will receive high-resolution digital images of your custom art piece. I also will do a digital preview showing the artwork superimposed into photos of your actual space. Similiar to the views shown in my portfolio collections. Once it meets your approval, the remaining balance is settled. Each piece is finished with a UV varnish for long-term protection, signed, and accompanied by a Certificate of Authenticity. Your artwork is then professionally crated and shipped directly from the studio. Please note that all works are delivered unframed to allow for custom specifications.
